This is Cari Vander Yacht’s watercolor series Plants in the Back. It consists of one part lush foliage, one part human waste and one part irony. The girl is good.

I’m in love with Leanne Shapton’s work. Her watercolor series, A Month of Monday Shower Songs, which appeared in the New York Times (via Rachel Cole) is casually intimate, quirky and just plain lovely. Sigh.

Just look at these stunning little watercolors by French artist Flora Douville. Now through the end of April the artist is offering a ‘buy one get the second half off’ promotion in celebration of her blog turning 3. I’ve been a big fan of Flora’s work since I saw her Mushroom print and am glad to finally own some of her work (I couldn’t resist these two).
