Art Hound, a guide to living with art Art Hound

on the hunt for good art

Anna Sorenson

September 17th, 2012 · 1 Comment

I love these pieces of Anna Sorenson which are all from 2011. I came across the Brooklyn artist’s work through her upcoming show at Ed Varie.

“Each painting close to everyday life, it is my form of day to day note taking. I incorporate text, both English and my native tongue Swedish, into the paintings as another point of entry into the work. I write down measurements, dates, and temperatures, marking the space, literally and physically, where the painting takes place; the place where I focus on a moment, memory, and language.” – Anna Sorenson.
