I saw these psychedelic prints of the Alps (?) on Design for Mankind and thought they were much too cool to keep all to myself. The artist, Tchmo, is Australian but lives and works in Montreal. His prints (including these) and t-shirts are for sale on society6 and his pillows and textiles are for sale on envelop.

Papirmasse: monthly art publication

Papirmasse is an art subscription

When you look beneath the surface, there are a surprising number of ways to get your hands on affordable art, and art zines are one such example. For very little $$$ you get prints of cool, original art that you might not come across on your own. Plus, they can be framed on the cheap (hello, Ikea) and look like a million bucks.

Papirmasse, one such publication, ships monthly issues of limited-edition high-quality prints of engaging, emerging art. Papermasse’s founder, Kirsten McCrea, is hell-bent on spreading the gospel of affordable art.  Kirsten rightfully points out that the idea of affordable art has been around for at least 30 years with the Crude Art Manifesto of the 70s and the Cheap Art Manifesto of the 80s.
