Mark Alsweiler’s work is morose and disquieting but playful in its simplicity (I confess the figure in the last painting remind me of a South Park character). Alsweiler seems highly- influenced by Mexican folk art and traditions of the dead, Wild West mythologies and ghost stories. The artist is based in Sydney.
