Artist Crush: Greg Eason

I discovered the poetic, monochromatic work of Greg Eason at the Affordable Art Fair in NYC back in May. The London-based Eason is a year out of art school and is fortunate to have two shows right now: Ishihara 12 and Wild Britannia at Will’s Art Warehouse.

This is not the kind of work that immediately bowls people over. It’s super subtle… and tiny! The detailed graphite drawings are so small that you really have to get up close to the work to take it in. In a visual world in which so many images are blasted at us at such high volumes it’s refreshing to experience work that kills with a whisper.
