Ashley Moe is twenty-two year-old Kansas City native studying print, paper and book design in Minneapolis. Her blog, sleepy fawn, is absolutely lovely and she also has a brand new shop on Etsy! Her work is soft, girly and ephemeral but at times includes darker undertones. Isn’t her work just lovely?
I can’t get enough of her handmade books like Waldeinsamkeit, below…

Isn’t it strange how every single one of these pop culture icons has been reinvented (and many have also been sexed up) for the next gen? What happened to liking something because it’s old-school?

Today’s artist is the very talented Gizem Vural, who is currently studying graphic design in her native Istanbul. I first noticed Gizem on Doodlers Anonymous which featured some beautiful drawings from her tumblr blog.
Gizem has been drawing since she was a small child. She loves languages, speaks Japanese and is currently studying Mandarin. Her work is beautiful, feminine and imaginative, and she is only at the beginning of her career! In a short period of time she’s developed a striking visual language of day dreams and moods.
Prints of Gizem’s work are available through etsy.
