Lynne Woods Turner’s work at Danese Gallery via Seesaw. The color palette is so pretty – these pieces would brighten up a space so well. They are quite teeny though – ranging from 4″ x 6″ to 14″ x 14″.

I happened upon Devin Powers’ work at Win Wilder Hall in Rockland, Me. A bit ironic because the artist is based in Brooklyn.

I love this quote by Powers on the essence of his work, “The big ideas and mysteries attracted me the most. I liked thinking about things just beyond the crest of understanding.”

Design Crush: atelier Halo

March 22nd, 2011 · 1 Comment

Aren’t these porcelain plates, cups and pots from atelier Halo to die for? I don’t think there’s one piece in the whole line I don’t want! The geometric patterns – some painted, others molded or carved into the porcelain – are delightfully simple and modern.

About the line:

atelier Halo is a tiny workshop in a small village house in the South West of France. atelier Halo is also a designer, Fanny Cavin, who dreams and creates objects she makes in porcelain. Objects she wants to be simple and useful; objects which can play with light, and sometimes play in the wind.
