April Deacon via The Jealous Curator via Curate 1K. Deacon certainly isn’t the first artist to alter old photos with patterns and jarring colors but I do think her work stands on its own. There’s something grotesque about how these faces are pixelated – suddenly you see reptilian features in otherwise normal human faces.
