Anders Arhøj is the creator of ORB, an art object / piggy bank. The objects, which are playful in function but sophisticated in form, are made from stoneware and glazed. Don’t they look lovely in a group? Arhøj says he was inspired by a fortune teller’s crystal ball, but I also see these as bowling balls and gumdrops. The raw finishes remind me of Edith Heath and her experimental work with finishes and glazes.

And here is the “Ghosts” project Arhøj did with Louise Gaarmann which is based on the “ideas of the Japanese Shinto religion believing that everything in nature has a soul.”
