Just as I was getting bored, I discovered these brilliant shots of Landon Metz’ show Still at Torri. These simple and elegant paintings were made by applying dyes to unprimed canvases. I really relate to the gallery’s interpretation that “(Metz’) paintings are at once intellectual and intimate…(and) invite the audience to consider the larger discussions of perception, mindfulness, and interconnection that drive (Metz’) practice.”
