Max Colby, a recent graduate of the Museum School in Boston, is a mixed-media artist who combines printmaking and embroidery and textile-based ornamentation. via Stitch and Tickle.
“For the series “Role-play”, the printing plate continually morphs and breaks down during printing only to later be repaired for further exposure. Afterwards, each print is adorned with its own unique hand embroidery or embellishment – making the figure and “clothing” one in the same.” – artist statement
