Artist Crush: Birgitte Storm

Monday, May 7, 2012 · 2 Comments

Danish artist Birgitte Storm via Analogue Faszinitäten. Storm’s work has the same kind of uneasiness found in that of contemporary Japanese female artists (i.e. Makiko Kudo and Aya Takano) which present scenes of childhood but with unmistakable heavy undertones of the adult world.

“Her art takes off in private photos, where she interprets on childhood memories and takes them into an artificial fiction in paintings, drawings and sewed sculptures.”Charlotte Fogh Gallery
