Maddie The Coonhound is a tumblr of a dog (a clearly very well-trained one) standing on random things a dog normally wouldn’t stand on. The project is part of This Wild Idea, Theron Humphrey’s year-long journey across the U.S. taking photographs and recording stories of the folks he meets. It seems he has a very fine companion on the road with him.

How can I be the first to comment? Surely I’m not alone in thinking this is the cutest, most bizarre and hilarious thing ever? All the while being beautifully photographed…

I agree! I keep thinking that the dog must have the balance of a tight-rope walker! The backgrounds are all very beautiful too.

is this not the most well behaved dog ever? i love LOVE this instagram feed. he takes some beautiful photographs; what an excellent eye for mundane beauty.
