Please. You need to show better work than this. This block print has bad registering, second one is over printed, third one is over inked, all of them are unevenly inked as well. There is a general lack of skill in this piece.
this is my blog. i don’t need to “show” anything other than what i chose to. it’s your choice to stop by and it’s your choice to dislike the work but there’s no need to be rude about it.
Sorry if you took my comment as rude, but some discernment is needed. Do we only learn from praise? You have such a facinating collection going on here adding bad craftsmanship in printmaking depreciates your voice.
the way i look at criticism is that if i don’t like it i don’t blog about it. i share what inspires me.
i don’t believe for a second that technique dictates whether art is good.
just because artists play with technique and precision doesn’t mean they lack talent. messy isn’t always a default but sometimes a choice. i like unclean work because it’s more human.
and even if the work is messy because of laziness or lack of technique on the part of the artist, i really don’t give a damn. i like the work.
I was immediately drawn to this. I see it as more of an exploration. I admire artists who dabble in all sorts of mediums. Bravery is inspirational. These pieces are just that. Love them.
It’s a pleasure. Actually its hard down here beacsue the southern hemisphere is upside down and we have to hold onto the ground to stop falling off into space. Makes it hard to write at the same time.
