A Shade of Red, a book of photographs by Alyson Fox. Here are excerpts from the artist’s statement on the project:
Most of the women in this series knew neither me nor my work. Most had never had their portrait taken. Despite not knowing who I was or what the experience would be like, hundreds of women agreed to be part of this project… I went to each woman’s personal space, I told her about myself and the project, and then she told me about herself.
Sometimes wearing (lipstick) became a way to fit in. Sometimes a way to stand out. Sometimes a uniform. Sometimes an armor. Sometimes a gash. Sometimes an incision. Sometimes an invitation. Sometimes a warning. Sometimes just something that goes with your dress.

I really find this preosnal growth helpful. I need to start making a list a night! Terrific advice. I get up in the morning, my mind seems to go off in many directions thinking of everything I need to do!! The time I spend worrying is a waste of time.
