These bird tapestries by French artist Guidette Carbonell took my breath away when I spotted them on iiinspired. Carbonell’s work is new to me but she actually passed away at in 2008 at 98 years old. It’s bittersweet to find an artist you love who is recently deceased.

Guidette is especially well-known for her ceramics. How funny are these barnyard creatures in chicken wire? They look like they’d like to make a run for it – such wonderful playfulness.
