It is my opinion that forty-six at grace, the drool-worthy blog of Herriott Grace’s Nikole, has some of the best food photography in the blogosphere. If you have an insatiable sweet tooth like I do you may find yourself in front of your computer in a raging fit of hunger for one of her perfect cakes. I recently learned that Nikole is in fact a pastry chef and for some reason that makes me feel a little less jealous of this woman of many talents (including home design).
If you’re not familiar with Ms. Herriott, here’s the low-down: she grew up on a farm eating mainly from the land (like so many only dream of). She currently lives in Toronto where she runs Herriott Grace with her father who hand-carves exquisite wooden spoons, knives, cake stands and other wonderful things.

There is so much in these photos that is artful – the pastries themselves, the antique stands and utensils, the styling and the photography. I can’t get enough!

kate can you make your site searchable? I was remembering an awesome post you did weeks (months?) ago and did eventually find it but had to scroll back through for awhile. Thanks, keep up the great new pages!

The photo with the three bowls of pastel icing and the leaf cookies….I keep going back to look at it. It feels like a world in an amazing novel. Thanks for sharing this!
