Genevieve Dionne via all the mountains – a new favorite blog of mine, written by the extraordinary Amy Borrell. (Side note: Amy was a recent guest curator on Etsy!) Genevieve’s work feels very vintage-y, as if we’re looking at illustrations straight out of Dick and Jane. The affect is two-fold: it’s nostalgic and charming as well as untimely and opaque. Her narratives are intriguing but seem impossible to decipher on their own – a quality that parallels the work of a similar artist from another time, Henry Darger.
