New Work by Illustrator Olaf Hajek

Wednesday, November 17, 2010 · 4 Comments

Olaf Hajek is one hell of an artist. His work is so rich and vibrant and politically resonant; his vision so strong. It turns out his work has traveled far beyond the realm of galleries and art circles. As I read on his blog, “Olaf Hajek is one of the world’s most successful illustrators. His colorful work is infused with a folkloristic naivety and freshness and can be seen in publications such as The New York Times, in advertisements for companies such as Bacardi and even on postage stamps.” And who says good artists can’t make it commercially? Hajek recently updated his website (thanks MLFU for the scoop) with new work and has prints available at Lumas Gallery.
