Totems by Denise Kupferschmidt via cher ami. These collages took me by surprise – just when you think you’ve seen it all, something comes your way that feels really new and different. Denise, who studied printmaking at Mass Art, fashioned her Totems series from photos cut from books. I love the old-fashioned, ornate shapes (fleur-de-lis, spades, etc.) she uses.
