Pssst… Want to take a peak at our Brooklyn apartment? Curious to see the art that I live with? You’re in luck! I’m beyond stoked to have our apartment featured on Apartment Therapy, so come take a look!
I began collecting affordable art five years ago and it’s grown to be the defining element of our home. It’s what gives our space the most personality and it’s what friends comment on when they come over. Since I finished school and started collecting five years ago, I’ve lived in two cities, moved seven times, and acquired and sold plenty of furniture. The one constant (albeit growing) element is the art that we surround ourselves with.
Questions? Here’s a detailed tour of our art collection.

Congrats Kate! I love house tours, and it was fun to look at all the pics . . . I wish I had a brick wall! Adds so much texture to the room.

cathy, thanks so much! it’s been a lot of fun to show everyone our space including friends who live far away. we love the brick walls too although at times i get tempted to paint them (which we wouldn’t be able to do anyway!). ; )

Wow, I got so pulled into your art collection that I forgot to look at your home! I had to take the tour twice, so to speak. I know Stacey Durand, and I’m pretty sure I recognize the setting of her painting. How strange! Anyway, you’ve got a great eye and a lovely, eclectic art collection. I can’t wait to check out more of your blog’s offerings.

visuallanguage- thanks so much for reaching out about our art collection. it’s very personal and i don’t expect people to always love it but it’s always super rewarding to hear that others enjoy it too. the painting we have by stacey durand was actually our first piece of art! i lived in the boston area for 7 years and love her visual perspective of that area. enjoy art hound!
