Picks of the Week: Splurges

Saturday, March 13, 2010 · 2 Comments

This week’s picks are a wish list of sorts. Every piece makes my heart skip a beat. Even though this group has some pretty hefty price tags, I fully believe every piece is worth it.

Picks from Junc Gallery, LeBasse Projects, ThinkSpace and Walker Contemporary.

Nannie, Glad to see you have your own site now. I will be checking it often. I have a coulpe new entries up on my own blog too. You can access it from my website. You were a treat to work with at the History Channel film shoot. You and Robert were very well behaved and perfect for the job. Of course, you both always do a fine job at our programs. Nannie, I want to thank you for helping promote our dogs and our history. You are an outstanding amabssador for our breed, and David is pretty good too!

Sultan,Fine post. These precise mdthoes are being used by Black Muslim “contractors” to extort construction contracts in Philadelphia. I was not aware of root of this practice.Edgar, Going a little father back in history, rioting of the sort mentioned was conducted by tradesman–sometimes for their own interests but sometimes they rioted for hire, to advance the interests of nefarious business players–was a practice in mid-18th century London. In an entertaining way historical fiction writer David Liss captured this in “A Spectacle of Corruption” and “The Devil’s Company” the latter pertaining to machinations involving the East India Company.
